Phyllis Mae Bedford 1939 - 2007 rural Perry
A visitation and gathering for Phyllis Mae Bedford, 68, of the Newman community, rural Perry, will be at 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Inurnment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date.Mrs. Bedford died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at her home.She was born Jan. 1, 1939, in Bradley, S.D., the daughter of Edwin Autin and Katherine Johanna Gross Holmes.Mrs. Bedford was a homemaker.She married Dallas Wilbur Bedford on July 31, 1957, in Pierre, S.D. He died Nov. 27, 1996.Survivors include two sons, Dennis Bedford, Perry, and Donald Bedford; a daughter, Brenda Peak, Highland; and a brother, Berandt "Red" Lehna, North Bend, Ore.Mrs. Bedford was preceded in death by a son, Russel Bedford.The family suggests memorials to Midland Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa 66066.
