Joann Alexitch 1930 - 2007 Shawnee

Shawnee - Services for Joann Alexitch, 77, Shawnee, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Mrs. Alexitch died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Kansas University Hospital. She was born April 3, 1930, in Lawrence, the daughter of Nora and Edwin Elbel. She graduated from Kansas University with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. She worked at Hallmark Cards for five years and KU Medical Center for 24 years.She married George Alexitch in 1956. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Reese, Fowler; two sons, Daniel, Kansas City, Kan., and Thomas, Shawnee; and six grandsons.The family suggests memorials to the Ed and Nora Elbel Scholarship Fund at the KU Endowment Association.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.amosfamily.com">www.amosfamily.com</a>.
