Richard H. Wagstaff Jr.,

Services for Richard H. Wagstaff Jr., 80, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church. Private inurnment will be before the service in Oak Hill Cemetery.Mr. Wagstaff died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born Aug. 7, 1926, in Topeka, the son of Richard H. and Joanna Gleed Wagstaff. He received a Master of Science degree from Kansas University.Mr. Wagstaff served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1944 to 1946. He was a Realtor of commercial property for 23 years in Kansas City. He was a founding partner in the development of Corporate Woods in Overland Park and retired in 1987 after managing the property for more than 10 years.He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Lawrence Rotary Club, New Generations, Douglas County Development Inc., Sigma Chi Social Fraternity, and a board member of Commerce Bank.He married Carolyn Campbell on Oct. 9, 1954, in Kansas City, Mo. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Gerwick and husband Charles, Fairway, and Jennifer Arbanas and husband Michael, Leawood; a son, Richard H. III and wife Bridget, Prairie Village; a brother, Charles G. and wife Nancy, Garland, Texas; a sister, Joanna Wagstaff Kline and husband Duane, Cheyenne, Wyo; six grandchildren, Richard H. Wagstaff IV, Britt and Hannah Gerwick and Jake, Frank and Luke Arbanas; and many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at the Wagstaff residence after the services.
