Wilma E. Tate Trudell
Services for Wilma E. Tate Trudell, 92, McLouth, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McLouth United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at McLouth Cemetery. Mrs. Trudell died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at Hickory Pointe Care Center in Oskaloosa.She was born Nov. 7, 1913, in Arma, the daughter of Andrew Streeter and Nannie Bloomer Leonard. She had lived in McLouth since 1938.Mrs. Trudell worked at Key Clothing in Fort Scott from 1930 to 1931. She later worked as a cook for the McLouth school district for 10 years and retired in 1979.She was a member of McLouth United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, McLouth Senior Citizens and the Happy Hour Club.She married George Noah Tate on Dec. 20, 1931, in Kansas City, Mo. He died Oct. 25, 1967. She married Delmer Trudell on June 2, 1973. He died Dec. 30, 1980.Survivors include a son, George Leonard Tate, Basehor; a daughter, Ruth Lorene Willits, McLouth; a stepdaughter, Gerre King, McLouth; a brother, William Leonard, McPherson; eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.The family suggests memorials to the church, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
