Ken Humm

A funeral mass for Ken Humm, 54, Ottawa, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Ottawa.Mr. Humm died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at his home.He was born March 3, 1952, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Carl Humm and Helen Baumstark Humm. He graduated from St. George High School in Hermann, Mo. He moved from Lawrence to Ottawa 30 years ago.Mr. Humm worked in sales in the institutional food and equipment industry. He worked at Hockenbergs in Lenexa for the past three years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Sacred Heart Choir, Lawrence Region Antique Automobile Club and a charter member of Jayhawk Corvette Club. He was a former member of Franklin County Historical Society and was an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of America.He married Barb Felts on Sept. 4, 1976, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include his parents, Hermann, Mo.; a son, Andrew Humm, of the home; a daughter, Sara Humm, of the home; a sister, Carol Page and husband, Bob, United Arab Emirates; a brother, Robert and wife, Maureen, Green, Ohio; a sister, Diana Cleaver, Leavenworth; his father-in-law, Delbert Felts and wife, Janet Angell; two sisters-in-law, Pam Patrick and husband, Mike, and Janet King and husband, Greg; and several nieces and nephews.His mother-in-law, Glenna Felts, died earlier, and a brother-in-law, Larry Cleaver, died earlier.Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, where the family will receive them at 7:30 p.m. following a rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday.The family suggests memorials to the Andrew and Sara Humm Education Fund, Franklin County Cancer Foundation, Midland Hospice or the church, sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S.
