Eric Dean Mesler 1977 - 2006
Services for Eric Dean Mesler, 29, Ottawa, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Perry.Mr. Mesler died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, in Topeka.He was born April 5, 1977, in Lawrence, the son of Gary R. Mesler and Dora A. Carmichael Rieder. He attended Perry-Lecompton High School and Jefferson West High School. He worked for the Iron Workers Local No. 10 in Kansas City, Mo., and as an automotive technician in Lawrence, Ottawa and Topeka.Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Dora and Eugene Rieder, Ottawa; his father and stepmother, Gary and Marcia Mesler, Meriden; four brothers, Russell Phillips, Harveyville, Ric Phillips, Edmond, Okla., Randy Phillips, Lawrence, and Ken Dalton, Ozawkie; and three sisters, Connie Mallott, Independence, Mo., Marsha Flores, Roseville, and Karen Schulte, Clinton, Mo.Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.The family suggests memorials to Centropolis Baptist Church, sent in care of the funeral home.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.rumsey-yost.com">www.rumsey-yost.com</a>.
