Allen Dwain Alexander 1933 - 2006 Tonganoxie
Services for Allen Dwain Alexander, 73, Tonganoxie, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie.Mr. Alexander died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.He was born March 14, 1933, in Conway, Mo., the son of Jesse and Irene Alexander. Mr. Alexander served in the U.S. Army. He worked as an operating engineer for Hayes Drilling in Olathe for 21 years and retired in 1995. He was a member of Operating Engineer Local 101.He married Alice K. Pierson on March 20, 1953, in Costa Mesa, Calif. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Robert, Tonganoxie, and Michael, Urbana, Mo.; two daughters, Carol Babcock, Tonganoxie, and Peggy Sieg, Warrensburg, Mo.; a brother, Wayne, Richland, Mo.; a sister, Betty Christy, Long Lane, Mo., seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.A grandson died in 1981.The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie 66086.
