Grace E. DeHoff 1919 - 2006 Tonganoxie
A Mass of Christian burial for Grace E. DeHoff, 87, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie.Mrs. DeHoff died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community in Lawrence.She was born Sept. 7, 1919, in Tonganoxie, the daughter of Robert and Julia Cavanaugh Ward. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.Mrs. DeHoff worked as a secretary for State Farm Insurance in Kansas City, Kan., and was a homemaker. She married Leonard E. DeHoff on June 15, 1939, in Lawrence. He died in 1998.A son, Robert L. DeHoff, died in 1987.Survivors include a daughter, Judy Goodnow, Murphys, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Peggy DeHoff, Tonganoxie; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday.The family suggests memorials to the church building fund, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie 66086.
