Dorothy Bell Yenzer 1928 - 2006
Private inurnment services for Dorothy Bell Yenzer, 78, Lawrence, will be later in Chase County.Mrs. Yenzer died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehab Center.She was born Jan. 31, 1928, in Wichita, the daughter of George E. and Anna Hess McMillan. She graduated from Emporia High School.Mrs. Yenzer was a homemaker, had worked in retail sales at Sears and J.C. Penney in Manhattan and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.She married C. Wayne Yenzer on Dec. 28, 1945, in Burlington. He died Dec. 26, 1984.Survivors include two sons, Douglas, Bellevue, Neb., and Gary, St. George; three daughters, Sandra Lawson, Eudora, Gail Coppersmith, Georgetown, Texas, and Beverly Yenzer, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.A grandson, Derek, died earlier.The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Assn., sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.rumsey-yost.com">www.rumsey-yost.com</a>.
