Wilma Rockhold

Services for Wilma Rockhold, 91, Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence. Burial will be in Vinland Cemetery.Mrs. Rockhold died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born Nov. 13, 1914, in Climax, the daughter of Abraham and Rose Crawford Needels. She was a Douglas County resident since the age of 10. She attended the Menninger “Four Years through the Bible” Bible study.Mrs. Rockhold married George Marion Rockhold on Feb. 20, 1931, in Topeka. He died Oct. 24, 1997.Survivors include four sons, Walter and Leonard, both of Baldwin, Glenn, Oklahoma, and Bob, Topeka; two daughters, Helen Hapes, Odessa, Mo., and Betty Lawrenz, Eudora; a brother, Bob Needels, Baldwin; 21 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Margaret Gurley, died June 10, 2006, and a son, LaVern, died Feb. 11, 1959.Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
