Betty J. Hartman 1924 - 2006 Moran
Services for Betty J. Hartman, 82, Moran, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Moran. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Centerville.Mrs. Hartman died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at Chanute Health Care.She was born May 11, 1924, in Parker, the daughter of Harry and Blanche Childs Higginbottom. She graduated from Parker High School.Mrs. Hartman taught school in the Centerville area and was a homemaker.She married Phillip "Mac" Bohnert. He died earlier. She then married Kenneth Hartman on Nov. 25, 1966. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include three sons, Charles Bohnert, Fenton, Mo., Gene Hartman, LaHarpe, and Dale Hartman, Moran; three daughters, Nina Thompson, Pomona, Rose Covey and Sally Powelson, both of Moran; 28 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.A daughter, Phyllis Jean Eravi, and twin granddaughters, Sonya and Tonya Ash, died earlier.Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will greet them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.The family suggests memorials to the National Kidney Foundation, sent in care of the funeral home, 344 N. Cedar St., Moran, 66755.
