Harold C. Seele

Services for Harold C. Seele, 81, Baldwin, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the new Worden United Methodist Church in Worden. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery near Worden. Mr. Seele died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Willow Springs Township, the son of Henry G. and Hulda M. Schwarz Seele. He grew up and attended schools in Willow Springs Township and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1943. He moved to Baldwin in 2005.Mr. Seele was a lifelong farmer. He worked for the Farmer’s Co-Op Assn. for 23 years and retired in 1987. He continued to farm until he retired in December 2005. He was a member and trustee of St. John’s Church of Christ and Worden United Methodist Church. He was a former board member of the Willow Springs Township Board and Farmers Home Administration.He married Rose M. Gorney on Feb. 4, 1989, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Worden. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Jerry and wife Janet, Baldwin, and Danny and wife Anna, Burlingame; a stepson, David Wasson and wife Michelle, Clearview City; two brothers, Alvin and Olin, both of Johnstown, Colo.; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.His parents died earlier, and a brother, Walter, died earlier, and a stepson, John Wasson, died earlier.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the new Worden United Methodist Church.The family suggests memorials to the Worden United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Diabetes Assn., sent in care of Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O.
