Beverly Ann Toshavik

Graveside services for Beverly Ann Toshavik, 59, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Oak Hill Cemetery.Ms. Toshavik died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at her home.She was born Dec. 18, 1946, in Binger, Okla., the daughter of Orville and Winifred Yernipicut Worcester. She graduated from Haskell Indian Nations University with a degree in home economics.Ms. Toshavik was a member of the Caddo and Comanche Nations. She worked as a seamstress for Scotch Fabric Care Services. She also worked as a custodian at Haskell, as a dietitian for Lawrence Presbyterian Manor and as a dormitory residence assistant in Concho, Okla. She played softball with the Lawrence Police Department.She married Allen C. Toshavik. They divorced. Survivors include a companion, Daniel Ramirez, of the home; a son, Ira Toshavik, Lenexa; three daughters, Claudia Sims, Regina Toshavik and Leah Worcester, all of Lawrence; two brothers, Thomas Worcester, Fort Cobb, Okla., and Sherman Worcester, Anadarko, Okla.; two sisters, Carmen Evan, Tahlequah, Okla., and Norma Worcester, Hog Creek, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Three infant sons died earlier, and a grandson, Allen Toshavik, died earlier.The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
