Services for Eileen Faye Matousek, 50, Mayetta, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Belleville. Burial will be in Belleville Cemetery.A memorial service in Lawrence will be at 3 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Puderbaugh residence, 616 Country Club Terrace.Mrs. Matousek died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, at Midland Hospice in Topeka.She was born Jan. 22, 1956, in Belleville, the daughter of Alfred Jr. and Phyllis Anderson Havel. She attended McCune Rural School east of Belleville until third grade, when she transferred to Cuba schools. She later attended Hillcrest schools and graduated from Hillcrest High School. She received a degree in bakery science and industry from Kansas State University.Mrs. Matousek worked for Con-Agra in Omaha, Neb., where she was a sanitation inspector and performed other duties. She began giving piano lessons in 1984. She taught the Suzuki piano method in the Lawrence and Topeka area for more than 20 years before she retired. She also was a background musician in the Lawrence and Topeka area and worked part-time for the Topeka Public Library.She was a member of the World Wildlife Federation, Kansas Audubon Society, International Suzuki Teaching Assn. and Community Mercantile. She married Carl Matousek on Sept. 12, 1981. He survives, of Mayetta.Other survivors include a daughter, Kelcie M. Matousek, Mayetta; her parents, of Belleville; two sisters, Nita Newby, Whitewater, and Sharon Larrick, Baldwin; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. today at Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart-Surber Funeral Home in Belleville.
