Sondra June Petefish 1946 - 2006 Lawrence
Services for Sondra June Petefish, 59, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ninth Street Baptist Church in Lawrence. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.Ms. Petefish died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at Stormont Vail Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 16, 1946, the daughter of Edward James and Gertrude Louise Wysocki Walden. She moved from Everett, Wash., to Lawrence in 1967.Ms. Petefish was an inspector for Allied King Radio for 18 years. She also worked at Kansas University from 1993 to 1997 in Operations and Facilities.She married Horace James Mercer. They divorced.Survivors include a sister, Patricia Lee Payne, Washington; and companion and care-giver Horace Mercer.The family suggests memorials to Ninth Street Baptist Church, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.warrenmcelwain.com">www.warrenmcelwain.com</a>, subject: Petefish.
