Vashti A. Dick 1909 - 2006 Perry
Memorial services for Vashti A. Dick, 97, Perry, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Perry United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Perry.Mrs. Dick died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at Aldersgate Village Care Center in Topeka.She was born April 6, 1909, in rural Ozawkie, the daughter of Harry Albert "H.A." and Ethel Hall Ploughe.She graduated Perry High School in 1926 and attended Washburn University.She was a member of Perry United Methodist Church and "Hope" Club Extension Unit in Perry.She married Vernet Clayton "Casey" Dick on Feb. 24, 1934, in Topeka. He died Aug. 31, 1996.The family suggests memorials to Perry United Methodist Church or to Heart of America Hospice, sent in care of the Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa 66066.
