Services for Michael Gregory “Greg” Hickam, 48, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.Mr. Hickam died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, at his home.He was born June 22, 1958, in Lawrence, the son of Everett G. and Mary Lee McCaffrey Hickam. He attended Kansas University.Mr. Hickam worked as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker McGrew and Gill Real Estate for 14 years. He was formerly a car salesman at Jim Clark, Jack Ellena and other car dealerships, and also owned his own landscaping business. He was chairman of the Historic Resource Commission, past president of the Oread Neighborhood Association and a member of the Chamber of Commerce Work Force Task Center. He had just been nominated as a director of the Board of Realtors.He married Melissa Long on Aug. 6, 2004. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include his father and stepmother, Everett G. and Freda Hickam; a daughter, Autumn Rose Hickam, Lawrence; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Godinez, Lawrence; a brother, Robert B. Hickam-Smith, Pittsburgh; and three sisters, Nancy E. Hickam Hunt, Lawrence, Janet Gay Hickam Bogart, Ann Arbor, Mich., and Susan Marie Hickam, Lawrence.The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.The family suggests memorials to the Autumn Rose Hickam Educational Fund through Emprise Bank, sent in care of the mortuary.Online condolences may be sent at www.warrenmcelwain.com, subject: Hickam.
