Marian LaVerne Sinnett

Services for Marian LaVerne Sinnett, 78, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.Ms. Sinnett died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born Aug. 9, 1928, in Missouri, the daughter of Perry and Alta Rena Culbertson Baumgarden. She had lived in Lawrence for 50 years, moving from Collins, Mo.Mrs. Sinnett was office manager for the Johnson County juvenile court system until she retired in 1995. She then worked at Wood Oil Convenience Store in Lawrence.Survivors include a daughter, Donna Hill, Lawrence; a son, Kenneth Anderson, Lawrence; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
