Henry A. Lockard II 1932 - 2006 Topeka

A memorial service for Henry A. Lockard II, 74, Topeka, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Topeka Bible Church. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Garden, Topeka.Mr. Lockard died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.He was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Kansas City, the son of Henry Arthur Lockard and Margaret Isabelle Broaddus Lockard.Mr. Lockard was a 1951 graduate of Lawrence High School. He also attended Washburn University and Kansas University. He was an architect.He was a member of the Topeka Bible Church, the American Institute of Architects and Gideons International.He married Stella Fern Carney on Sept. 23, 1951, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include three sons, Hal, Matt and Chuck; a daughter, Margie Young; two sisters, Allison Lockard and Susan Collister; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.He was preceded in death by a sister, Nan Popovits, and a brother, Andy Lockard.The family suggests memorials to Gideons International or a charity of choice. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
