Bridgie Reilly Hill

A funeral Mass for Bridgie Reilly Hill, 95, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.Mrs. Hill died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 28, 1911, in Emmett, the daughter of W.E. and Catherine Noonan-Reilly. She graduated from Emmett High School.Mrs. Hill worked for Hercules Powder at the Sunflower Ammunition Plant for several years and worked as a secretary in the chancellor’s office at Kansas University for 18 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence and the Daughters of Isabella for more than 40 years. She also belonged to the Lawrence Hospital Auxiliary.She married James G. Hill on Sept. 4, 1937, in Emmett. He died earlier.Her parents died earlier; a son, Stephen Richard Hill, died earlier; four sisters, Mary Glynn, Catherine Dougherty, Nikie Glynn and Eileen Holligan, died earlier; and two brothers, Willie and Frank Reilly, died earlier.Survivors include a son, Jimmy Hill and Gayla Proctor, Ottawa; a daughter, Mary Kay Craig and husband Don, Lawrence; a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Whitaker-Hill, Oklahoma City; a sister, Elizabeth McFerren, Austin, Texas; six grandchildren, Michael and Thomas Craig, Debbie Green, and Alan, Steve and Richard Hill; 10 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Trey, Katy, Andrew, Devin and David Craig, Molly, Daniel and Jacob Green and Lori Deihl; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jackie and Maddy Deihl.The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday at Lawrence Funeral Chapel.The family suggests memorials to Daughters of Isabella, sent in care of the chapel, P.O.
