Kathy Diane Jardon

A celebration of life for Kathy Diane Jardon, 52, Baldwin, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Baldwin. Private inurnment will be at a later date.Mrs. Jardon died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at her home.She was born June 1, 1954, in Lawrence, the daughter of Marvin E. and Norma D. Brecheisen Jardon. She grew up and attended public schools in Baldwin. She graduated from Baldwin High School in 1972. She also attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Gulfport, Miss., Baker University and Kansas University, and graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene College with a bachelor’s degree in human resources in 1997.She worked at the Explore Bookstore and Carl’s Pharmacy in Aspen, Colo. She worked at Audra’s Cafe, Sunshine Manor in Buhler, Baldwin Care Center, the University Career Center at KU, Continuing Education Office at Stanford University and Roaring Fork Kids, a day care in Aspen, Colo. Mrs. Jardon also pickled eggs and sold them at The Junction, her family’s business.She was a member of Clearfield United Methodist Church, attended First United Methodist Church in Baldwin and was a member United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Sierra Club, American Legion Auxiliary in Baldwin and was a Sigma Kappa mom. She enjoyed the exploration of culture, music, movies, books, art, religion, philosophy and politics.She married Miles H. Stotts II on June 1, 1977, in Baldwin. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include her parents, Baldwin; two daughters, Amy Irene Stotts, Baldwin, and Sara Jean Stotts, Boulder, Colo.The family will receive friends after the services at the church and at the Lodge in Baldwin.The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Oncology Center at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, sent in care of Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O.
