Owen Bogner 1929 - 2006 Topeka
Funeral services for Owen "Booger" Bogner, 76, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka. He will be cremated. A private inurnment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lecompton.Mr. Bogner died Saturday, May 27, 2006.He was born Aug. 15, 1929, in Winfield, the son of Jake and Jennie McCaslin Bogner.Mr. Bogner worked for List and Clark Construction and for Hamm Construction until he retired in 1986. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 101 in Topeka and the Retired Local No. 101 group.He married Doris Louise Sturm on Feb. 23, 1949, in Lawrence. She survives.Other survivors include three sons, Owen, Lucas, Iowa, and David and James, both of Lecompton; a sister, Betty Scott, Burden; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.The family suggests memorials to any charity, sent in care of the funeral home.
