Carolyn F. Walker 1933 - 2006 Pittsburg
Services for Carolyn F. Walker, 73, Baldwin, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Brenner Mortuary Chapel in Pittsburg. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg.Mrs. Walker died Friday, May 19, 2006, at Baldwin City Health and Rehabilitation.She was born Feb. 11, 1933, in Pittsburg, the daughter of Fred and Evelyn Cooper Blair. She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1951.Mrs. Walker worked for Medicalodge South in Pittsburg until she moved to Kinsley in 1978. She moved to St. Paul in 1995 and Baldwin in 2004. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pittsburg.She married Robert Earl Walker on Sept. 10, 1955, in Pittsburg. He died Nov. 8, 1962.Survivors include a son, Douglas, Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Sandra Roebuck, Pomona, and Janice Ray, Wichita; a sister, Sandy Bangert, Pittsburg; and six grandchildren.Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the mortuary, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
