Teresa E. Speicher Brubaker 1915 - 2006 Baldwin
Baldwin - Graveside services for Teresa E. Speicher Brubaker, 90, Baldwin, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sutton Cemetery near Baldwin.Mrs. Brubaker died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Baldwin Care Center.She was born May 31, 1915, in Eudora, the daughter of Lorenz and Mary Schehrer Speicher. She grew up and attended school in Vinland. Mrs. Brubaker was a baby sitter for several families, and she and her husband owned several businesses in the area.She married Lester P. Brubaker on Aug. 4, 1936, in Reno, Kan. He died June 17, 1986.A daughter, Barbara Jean Brubaker, died earlier.Survivors include a daughter, Joan Christian, Baldwin; two grandsons; and 11 great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin.The family suggests memorials to Ives Chapel United Methodist Church, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 64, Baldwin 66006.
