William R. Perry Sr. 1932 - 2006 Oskaloosa
Services for William R. Perry Sr., 73, Winchester, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Burial will follow in Winchester-Wise Cemetery in Winchester.Mr. Perry died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at the Jefferson County Geriatric Center.He was born Dec. 8, 1932, in Winchester, the son of Charles William and Vera Phebe Hunsucker Perry. He graduated from Winchester Rural High School in 1951.Mr. Perry worked as a mechanic at Trans World Airlines for 23 years. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church.He married "Betty" Marie Robertson on Sept. 1, 1951, in Winchester. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, William R. Jr., Winchester; two daughters, Debra Ann Roberdes-Smith, Kansas City, Kan., and Brenda Kay Dennis, Tecumseh; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.A great-grandson died earlier.The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to Jefferson County Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
