Joshua Kenneth Uhlig 1984 - 2006 Overland Park
A celebration of life for Joshua Kenneth Uhlig, 22, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel in Overland Park.Mr. Uhlig died Thursday, March 16, 2006, in Las Vegas.He was born Jan. 13, 1984, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Ken and Roxy Uhlig. He attended De Soto High School and graduated from Perry-Lecompton High School and Kaw Area Technical School in 2002. He graduated as an automotive technician from Universal Technical Institute in Houston in 2004.Mr. Uhlig worked at Laird Noller Ford in Lawrence, where he recently was named Employee of the Month.Survivors include his companion, Crystallynn Quigley, Topeka; his parents, Ken Uhlig, Perry, and Roxy Uhlig, Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Rachel Uhlig, Kirksville, Mo.; and grandmothers, Stella Uhlig and Margaret Main.The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the chapel.The family suggests memorials to the Joshua Uhlig Memorial Fund, sent in care of the chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park 66210.
