Jessie Ellen Bisel 1912 - 2006 Denver
Braymer, Mo. - Graveside services for Jessie Ellen Bisel, 93, Denver, will be at 2 p.m. today in Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer.Mrs. Bisel died Monday, March 6, 2006, in Denver.She was born Aug. 3, 1912, in Caldwell County, the daughter of John Richard and Lottie Mae Underwood Norris. She moved to Monte Vista, Colo., in 1946 and then to Lawrence, Kan., in 1952.Mrs. Bisel taught in rural schools in the Braymer area. She worked at Sunflower Ordinance Works for five years and was a clerk for the City of Lawrence water department for 20 years.She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lawrence.She married Lawrence Olin Bisel on Oct. 19, 1931. He died in 1981.Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Parsons, Denver; and two grandchildren.Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer is in charge of arrangements.
