Cecile R. Hendricks 1923 - 2006 Topeka
Topeka - Services for Cecile R. Hendricks, 82, Topeka, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel in Topeka. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.Mrs. Hendricks died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at a local hospital.She was born March 30, 1923, in Manchester, N.H., the daughter of George and Bernadette LeClerc Gamache.She married James H. Hendricks on July 7, 1942, in Dover, Del. He survives. Other survivors include four daughters; Edith "Bunny" Bolton, Chattanooga, Tenn., Shirley Martin-Smith, Lawrence, Diane Hoover Roach, Topeka, and Mary Jane Pore, Wichita; a sister, Stella Gamache, New York; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the chapel, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today.The family suggests memorials to the Capper Foundation or the University of Kansas Medical Center, sent in care of the chapel, 1321 SW 10th, Topeka 66604.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.penwellgabel.com">www.penwellgabel.com</a>.
