Eva Mae Quinn

Mass of Christian Burial for Eva Mae Quinn, 77, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Student Center in Lawrence. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lawrence.Mrs. Quinn died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at her home, after a long illness.She was born June 10, 1928, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Henry F. and Theresa Krieger Jensen. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a Master of Arts degree in Spanish from Kansas University.Mrs. Quinn was a homemaker. She had also been a language teacher at Eudora High School.She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Student Center and a member and former treasurer of Douglas County Quilter’s Guild.She married Dennis B. Quinn on Aug. 13, 1952, in Omaha. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Timothy Quinn, Shawnee Mission; two daughters, Monica Sercer, Fort Scott, and Alison Quinn, of the home; two sisters, Margaret Hatch, Athol, Idaho, and Theresa Anderson, Alexandria, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.A parish rosary service will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.The family suggests memorials to the Sancta Maria School in Eudora or Clearcreek Monastery in Oklahoma, sent in care of the mortuary.E-mail condolences may be sent to info@warrenmcelwain.com, subject: Quinn.
