Fern C. Burkle 1920 - 2006 Kansas City, Kan.
Services for Fern C. Burkle, 85, Kansas City, Kan., were Tuesday at Maple Hill Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.Mrs. Burkle died Friday, June 16, 2006, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.She was born Nov. 6, 1920, in Reno, Kan., the daughter of Alfred and Augusta Kahn. She graduated from Tonganoxie High School and Kansas City Business College. Mrs. Burkle and her husband owned Rosedale Bait and Tackle and Burkle's Liquor Store in Rosedale. She married John H. Burkle in 1946. He died Dec. 30, 1981.A stepson, John H. Burkle Jr., died April 21, 2006.Survivors include a son, Alfred Frank Burkle; a daughter, Myrtle Leona Mohart; and eight grandchildren.
