Services for Diedre R. “Dede” Blick, 73, Topeka, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home in Topeka. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Blick died Monday, June 12, 2006, at her home.She was born June 26, 1932, in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of Clinton Flynn and Eva Irene Miller Flynn Burnett. She was raised in Hutchinson and graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1950. She moved from Hutchinson to Topeka in 1967 with what is now the 190th Air Refueling Wing.Mrs. Blick was a homemaker. She was a founding member of PACK, a social organization for members and former members of the 190th Air Refueling Wing of the Kansas Air National Guard. She was an artist and craft maker. She enjoyed genealogy and wrote a book about the Blick family. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.She married Maurus N. Blick on July 20, 1951, in Warrensburg, Mo. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include four sons, Maurus C. Blick and wife Brenda, Robert Blick and wife Becky, and Daniel Blick, all of Topeka, and William Blick, Hutchinson; a daughter, Lanaca Heine and husband Rodney, Lawrence; a sister, LeAnna Morse, McAllen, Texas; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Her parents died earlier, and a brother, Robert C. Flynn, died earlier.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to the Museum of the Kansas National Guard, Midland Hospice or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, sent in care of the funeral home, 2801 S.W.
