James William Frick 1949 - 2006 Tonganoxie
Services for James William "Jim" Frick, 57, McLouth, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Quisenberry Chapel in Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Tonganoxie. Mr. Frick died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at his home.He was born May 24, 1949, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Francis LeRoy and Mildred Rose Smith Frick. Mr. Frick served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and retired from the service in 1990. He worked for Peruvian Connection in Tonganoxie. He was a chef at Bitler's Hickory House Barbecue in Tonganoxie and Harvest House Restaurant in McLouth. He volunteered for the Alexandria Township Fire Department.He married Frances F. Kelly on Jan. 4, 1969, in Basehor. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, James W. Jr., Manhattan, and Russell B., Langley, Va.; four daughters, Helen Elaine Lingenfelter, Spokane, Wash., Kathrine Rose Atkinson, Valley Falls, Margaret Fern Perry, Kalispell, Mont., and Cynthia Louise Frick, Yakima, Wash.; three brothers, Charles D. and Thomas G., both of Tonganoxie, and Anthony E., Roland, Okla.; a sister, Francene Lynn Criswell, Bremerton, Wash.; and 11 grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Quisenberry Funeral Home.The family suggests memorials to Tonganoxie Veterans of Foreign Wars Park Naval Memorial, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
