Travis C. Morgan Sr.

Services for Travis C. “T.C.” Morgan, 76, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Amos Family Chapel in Lenexa.Mr. Morgan died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at his home.He was born Sept. 9, 1929, in New Boston, Texas, the son of W.H. and Alice Tutt Morgan. He graduated from Texas A&M University.Mr. Morgan served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked with Businessmen’s Assurance Co., BMA, from 1957 until he retired as vice president and senior mortgage officer for his corporation in 1992. He served on the board of directors of several major corporations, negotiated land acquisitions and property developments in which BMA was a partner. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, his work, his garden and sports, especially Texas A&M football.Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jo Ann; two sons, Travis C. Jr. and wife Patsy, Olathe, and Michael S., Baldwin; three daughters, Linda Kay Hays and husband Ralph, Lawrence, Pamela Morgan, Olathe, and Kelly Stallbaumer and husband Michael, Pollock, Mo.; a sister, Ruby Howell, Tyler, Texas; 12 grandchildren, Brett Hays, Timothy Grego, Sarah Klusman, Lisa Aulgur, Kyle Kline, Robert and Nathan Merkel, Brooke, Madison and Nikki Morgan, Holden and Hannah Stallbaumer; and eight great-grandchildren.A daughter, Jan Merkel, died earlier; and two brothers, Earl and Joy Morgan, died earlier; and a granddaughter, Heather Grego, died earlier.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the chapel.The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the chapel, 10113 Lenexa Drive, Lenexa 66215.Online condolences may be sent at www.amosfamily.com.
