Evelyn Elizabeth Six 1909 - 2006
Funeral services for Evelyn Elizabeth Six, 97, Lawrence, formerly of Wichita, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at College Hill United Methodist Church in Wichita. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Wichita.Mrs. Six died Saturday, July 22, 2006, at the Pioneer Ridge Health Center in Lawrence.She was born Jan. 5, 1909, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Albert McNealy and Rachel Minerva Orr Fisher, and graduated in 1927 from Douglass High School.Mrs. Six was a homemaker, an independent sales representative for several companies in Wichita and a member of the College Hill United Methodist Church and the Rebekah Circle in Wichita.She married Dale Miller Six in 1932. He died earlier. She married Johnny Soliz in 1986. He died earlier.Survivors include a daughter, Arline Seely-Bensch, Lawrence; a stepson, Tony Soliz, Wichita; a stepdaughter, Phyllis Ornelas, Denver; two brothers, Thomas Fisher and William Fisher, both of Wichita; a sister, Mildred Koblitz, Wellington; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.A son, Daniel, died earlier.Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Downing-Lahey Mortuary East in Wichita.The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church Senior Adult Ministry or the Heart of America Hospice of Lawrence, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
