Cheryl Renee Carver 1963 - 2006 Perry
Mass of Christian Burial for Cheryl Renee Carver, 42, Ozawkie, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Theresa Church in Perry. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Meriden.Mrs. Carver died Monday, July 10, 2006, at a Topeka hospital.She was born Dec. 17, 1963, in Winchester, the daughter of Rex C. and Maxine Ann Heston Buttram. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1982 and received an associate's degree in social work from Allen County Community College. She attended Kansas State University and Washburn University.Mrs. Carver worked as an office assistant for the Dennis Hawver attorney's office in Ozawkie. She was a member of St. Theresa's Church and Fairview Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary in Ozawkie. She was an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and Heartland Shares program. She was a 4-H leader with the Fairview 4-H Club and served as a coach for youth softball and basketball leagues.She married Jerry Allen Carver Jr. on Sept. 3, 1988, in Perry. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include her parents, Oskaloosa; three daughters, Renee Carver, Natasha Carver and Charley Carver, all of the home; a brother, Brian Buttram Sr., Alabama; two sisters, Lynn McQuillan, Wathena, and Debra Ussery, Lecompton.The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, where a rosary service will be at 6:30 p.m. today.The family suggests memorials to the Cheryl Carver Memorial Fund, sent in care of Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P.O.
