Marie E. Croskey 1913 - 2006 Lawrence
Mass of Christian burial for Marie E. Croskey, 92, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of St. Peter Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kan. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Kan.Mrs. Croskey died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, in Lawrence.She was born May 4, 1913, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Josef and Mary Sedler Nick.Mrs. Croskey was a member of Cathedral of St. Peter and its senior citizens group. She also was a member of Good Shepherd Senior Citizens, Blessed Sacrament Young at Hearts and the Kansas City, Kan., Police and Fireman's Retiree Assn.Her husband, Logan Croskey, died in 1975.Survivors include a son, Frank Croskey, Overland Park; a daughter, Mary E. Russell, Lawrence; three granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. Monday until the service at the church.The family suggests memorials to Strawberry Hill Museum, 720 N. Fourth, Kansas City, KS 66101, or Heart of America Hospice, 1311 Wakarusa Drive, Suite 2121, Lawrence 66049.Joseph A. Butler and Son Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan., is in charge of arrangements.
