A celebration of life for Earnest Walter "E.W." Brown Jr., 55, Overland Park, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel in Overland Park. Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.Mr. Brown died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.He was born Aug. 8, 1950, in Lawrence, the son of Lawrence V. and Alfreida M. Brown. He grew up and attended school in Lawrence.Survivors include his wife, Sharon K. Brown, Overland Park; a son, Brian S., Prairie Village; three daughters, Christine R. Depusoir, Mission, Carmen S. Weber, Grandview, Mo., and Roxanne N. Brown-Belcher, Overland Park; a brother; two sisters; and 11 grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the chapel.The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assn., sent in care of the chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park 66210.
