Marie F. Rodina 1919 - 2006 Prairie Village
A funeral Mass for Marie F. Jacks Rodina, 86, Prairie Village, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Prairie Village. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Rodina died Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at her home.She was born June 8, 1919, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Richie and Cecilia Lacy Pyle. She was a lifelong area resident.Mrs. Rodina was a former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, its Altar Society and Shamrock Club. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.She married Horace Jacks. He died in 1977. She married John Rodina. He died in 1991.Survivors include a son, Dick Jacks, Leawood; a daughter, Beth Sirna, Prairie Village; three sisters, Catherine Alonge and Rita O'Malley, both of Orlando, Fla., and Bernadette Kostelec, Kansas City, Kan.; four brothers, Jack Pyle, Prairie Village, Tom Pyle, Eudora, Jim Pyle, Overland Park, and Ed Pyle, Bloomington, Minn.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the church, where a rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. today.The family suggests memorials to the donor's choice.Skradski Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan., is in charge of arrangements.
