Services for John W. Kirkpatrick, 41, Topeka, will be at 10 a.m. today at Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka. Burial will be in Key West Cemetery east of Lebo.Mr. Kirkpatrick died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, in Topeka.He was born Aug. 19, 1964, in Topeka, the son of Robert R. and Jackie Markham Kirkpatrick. He lived in Topeka most of his life and also lived in Tonganoxie. He graduated from Stockton, Mo., High School.Mr. Kirkpatrick served in the U.S. Army National Guard for a year before joining the U.S. Army in 1981, where he served for three years. He was a truck driver for various companies. He and his wife, Patti Stewart, owned The Busted Knuckle Shop, where he was a mechanic.He married Tanya Isaacs in 1989 in El Dorado Springs, Mo. They divorced. He married Patti Stewart on Aug. 16, 2003, in Topeka. She survives, of Topeka.Other survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jackie and Don Hickey, Eskridge; a son, John, Ottawa; a stepson James Pierson, Pagosa Springs, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Jamie Pierson, Topeka; and a stepbrother, Gary Atchison, Reading.The family suggests memorials to the donor’s choice of charity, sent in care of the funeral home, 1035 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka 66608.
