Donald Harris Holdredge 1923 - 2006 Nowata, Okla.
Funeral services for Donald Harris Holdredge, 82, Nowata, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Nowata. Burial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kan.Mr. Holdredge died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville.He was born Aug. 28, 1923, in Arkansas City, Kan., the son of Harris H. and Ina Mastin-Holdredge. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Kansas State Teachers College.Mr. Holdredge served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was in port at Pearl Harbor during the attack. He worked in the accounting department for Phillips Petroleum for more than 30 years and spent his last few years at a family ranch east of Nowata. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Nowata, the American Legion, and he was a Mason.He married Eileen Myre in November 1945.Survivors include a son, Kevin, Nowata; a daughter, Patricia Porter, Bartlesville; a sister, Helen Worley, Lawrence, Kan.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.A son, Thomas, died earlier.Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata is in charge of arrangements.
