Arthur Krutz

Memorial services for Paul Arthur Krutz, 50, Eudora, will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Hesper Friends Church in Eudora. Another service will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 14 at Sprakers Reformed Church in Sprakers, N.Y., followed by a gathering at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Fort Plain, N.Y. He was cremated.Mr. Krutz died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan.He was born May 23, 1955, in Amsterdam, N.Y., the son of Stephen P. and Lenora J. Reynolds Krutz. He graduated from Canajoharie, N.Y., Central High School in 1973.Mr. Krutz was a carpenter and cabinetmaker. He worked for the Carriage House in Sprakers for 30 years. He most recently worked for Kirchoff Construction in Pleasant Valley, N.Y.He was a member of the FFA and involved in Boy Scouts of America Troop 81. He was a member of Sprakers Reformed Church and a volunteer with the Mid County Ambulance Corps.Survivors include his parents, of Eudora; a son, Paul Krutz Jr., Fort Plain; two daughters, Tricia Kilmartin, Canajoharie, and Bettina Krutz, Oppenheim, N.Y.; a stepson, Eric Yerdon, Fort Plain; two stepdaughters, Trista Yerdon, Canajoharie, and Samantha Yerdon, Fort Plain; four brothers, Stephen Jr., Timothy and Michael, all of Eudora, and David, Merriam; two sisters, Shawnee Jump, Eudora, and Sue Ann Flynn, North Chili, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to Sprakers Reformed Church or Ayres Animal Shelter, both in Sprakers; Mid County Ambulance Corps, Canajoharie, or any Ronald McDonald House.Kansas City Funeral Directors, Kansas City, Kan., is in charge of arrangements.
