Thelma N Batten 1922 - 2006 De Soto
Services for Thelma N. Batten, 83, De Soto, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel in De Soto. Private burial will be at Garden of Memories in Pittsburg.Mrs. Batten died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at Hillside Village Nursing Home in De Soto.She was born April 18, 1922, in Arcadia, the daughter of Adolph and Tella Smith.Mrs. Batten was a homemaker.She married John L. Batten. He died earlier.Survivors include a son, John Batten, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Linda Moberly, De Soto; two sisters, Jessie Bosnino, Lincoln, Neb., and Billie June Martin, Pittsburg; and two grandsons.The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
