Mass of Christian Burial for Charles C. "Chuck" Routte, 51, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lawrence.Mr. Routte died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at his home, after a long illness.He was born June 3, 1954, in Pratt, the son of Charles and Gladys Routte. He graduated from Pratt High School and received a master's degree from Wichita State University. He lived most of his life in Pratt and moved from Little Rock, Ark., to Lawrence in 1998.Mr. Routte was a certified registered nurse anesthetist with Lawrence Anesthesia PA group in Lawrence. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the American Nurses Anesthetist Association of Kansas.He married Yvonne Ann Stephens Parks on Dec. 13, 2005, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include his mother, Pratt; a son, Justin Towery, Lawrence; a daughter, Joyce Nicole Darland, Lexington, Ky.; a sister, Patti Detwiler, Pratt; and two grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Lawrence Funeral Chapel. A parish rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.The family suggests memorials to the Oncology Center of Lawrence Memorial Hospital; the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Kansas Chapter; or Hospice Care in Douglas County, sent in care of the chapel.
