No services are planned for Charles L. Bennett, 81, Ottawa. He will be cremated.Mr. Bennett died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born Aug. 22, 1924, the son of Charles F. and Ursla Wachs Bennett in Portage Des Sioux, Mo. He graduated from St. Charles (Mo.) High School in 1941. He moved to Ottawa in 1999 from Kinsley.Mr. Bennett was an auctioneer and an antiques dealer. He was a member of the United Congregational Church in Kinsley, the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Kaiser Car Club of America.He married Marilyn Jarvis on July 13, 1973, in Lancaster, Mo. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include seven sons, Mark and Dennis, El Cajon, Calif., Theodore and Nicholas, Albuquerque, N.M., Gordon, Lamar, Colo., Michael, Baldwin, and Bryan, Prairie Village; two daughters, Shirley Casey, Ellisville, Mo., and Deborah Lloyd, Cedar Falls, Iowa; a brother, Harold, St. Charles, Mo.; two sisters, Dorothy Davis, Pawleys Island, S.C., and Clare Reese, St. Peters, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.A son, Charles, and a daughter, Beverly Cavanaugh, died earlier.The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Rehabilitation Unit or the Kansas State Pet Trust Fund, sent in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
