Welma M. Harmon

Welma M. “Billie” Harmon, 87, Montrose, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Valley Manor Care Center in Montrose. She was cremated.She was born June 13, 1918, in Fulton, Kan., the daughter of Edward M. and Margaret C. Estes Harrison. She graduated from high school in Lawrence, Kan., and attended Kansas University. She lived in Fulton, Lawrence, Salt Lake City, Hotchkiss, Cedaredge and Montrose. Mrs. Harmon worked for Hercules Inc. at the Sunflower Plant in De Soto, Kan., and transferred to Utah in 1961. She retired from Hercules after 25 years of service. She was a member of W.I.B.C.She married Carl C. McClung. He died Aug. 19, 1965. She married Deane H. Harmon on July 29, 1977, in Salt Lake City. He died March 12, 1988.Survivors include a son, Carl L. McClung, Ridgway; a daughter, Peggy A. McClung-Puche, Jackson, Wyo.; two sisters, Hazel Bridges, Waco, Texas, and Edra Powell, Green Valley, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado, P.O.
