Bernie M. Finney 1919 - 2006 Topeka
Services for Bernie M. Finney, 86, Topeka, will be private. Entombment will be in Mount Hope Mausoleum.Mrs. Finney died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, in Topeka.She was born March 27, 1919, in Douglas County, the daughter of John B. and Dora Haferbier Maness. She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in 1937.Mrs. Finney worked at Lawrence National Bank. She retired in 1980 as an assistant cashier at Merchants National Bank.She married Howard A. Finney in 1942 in Lawrence. He died in 1996.Survivors include four nieces and nephews, including Pat Anderson, Lawrence. The family suggests memorials to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 N.W. Rochester Road, Topeka 66617.Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Topeka, is handling arrangements.
