Gary L. Norris 1936 - 2006 Oskaloosa
Services for Gary L. Norris, 69, Perry, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Private inurnment will follow in Buster Cemetery in rural Perry.Mr. Norris died at his home and was found Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006.He was born Nov. 5, 1936, in Lawrence, the son of Waldon LaVern and Ruth Wilma Webster Norris. He graduated from Perry Lecompton High School in 1954.Mr. Norris served in the U.S. Army as a tank driver. He worked as a pipe fitter and belonged to Local Union 441. He was a member of the National Rifle Assn. and American Legion.Survivors include a son, Gilson W., Onaga; a daughter, Karla Elaine Willcut, Rantoul; and two brothers, Darrell, Baldwin, and David, Lawrence.The family suggests memorials to the Gary L. Norris Memorial Fund, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa 66066.
