Jean Ellenbogen

Services for Jean Ellenbogen, 60, Guilderland, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Congregation Ohav Shalom in Albany. Burial will follow in Ohav Shalom Cemetery in Guilderland.Mrs. Ellenbogen died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at St. Peter’s Community Hospice Inn in Albany of cancer.She was born April 24, 1945, in Brooklyn, the daughter of Oliver and Blanch Rombach. She graduated from Valley Stream (N.Y.) Central High School in 1962 and from SUNY Farmingdale as a dental hygienist in 1964.Mrs. Ellenbogen was a homemaker. She was a member of Congregation Ohav Shalom, where she was a volunteer, and the Poughkeepsie Mother’s Club. She was volunteer coordinator of Wildwood Programs’ Flower Garden show for 16 years and a volunteer at Pine Bush Little League for more than 10 years.She married David Ellenbogen in 1966. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include her mother, Blanch Rombach, Lawrence, Kan.; two sons, Jason Scot Ellenbogen and Adam Seth Ellenbogen, both of Clifton Park; two daughters, Lisa Beth Schopf, Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Jodi Lyn Rosen, Plantation, Fla.; a sister, Pat Bates, Lawrence; and a brother, Bob Rombach, Lawrence; and six grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to Congregation Ohav Shalom, 113 New Krumkill Road, Albany, NY 12208; Wildwood Foundation, 2995C Curry Road Extension, Schenectady, NY 12303; Susan G.
