George M. Dodder 1914 - 2006 rural Baldwin

Worden - Services for George M. Dodder, 91, rural Baldwin, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Worden United Methodist Church. Mr. Dodder died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at Baldwin Care Center.He was born June 20, 1914, in Douglas County, the son of John and Emma Eagon Dodder. He attended school in Cargy. He lived in the Overbrook area for 15 years before he moved to Worden and later to Baldwin in 2002.Mr. Dodder was a farmer and a truck driver. He worked at Forbes Air Force Base and also on building the Kansas Turnpike. He continued to farm and worked at Kansas University with building and grounds maintenance. He attended Worden United Methodist Church.He married Florence Heim on February 12, 1942, in Worden. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Flory, Lawrence, and Marleen Harris, Worden; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.A son, Gary, died earlier.Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the church, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.The family suggests memorials to the church building fund or Douglas County Visiting Nurses, sent in care of Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O.
