Brent D. Arterburn 1933 - 2006 Eudora
Services for Brent D. Arterburn, 73, Eudora, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence. He was cremated.Mr. Arterburn died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born Jan. 3, 1933, in Kansas, Ill., the son of Brent Alden and Virginia Lucille Church Arterburn. He graduated from Florida Southern College with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1957.Mr. Arterburn served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1954. He worked in construction management. He was active in the Pine Crest Retirement Community in Eudora, where he assisted with group activities.Survivors include a son, Brent Jr., Ocala, Fla.; a daughter, Jorja Arterburn, Kissimmee, Fla.; five grandsons; and close friend, Robert Braught, Eudora.The family suggests memorials to the Pine Crest Activity Fund or the National Arbor Foundation, sent in care of the funeral home.Online condolences may be sent at www.rumsey-yost.com.
